Live Edge Wine Table

This wine rack and console table is the largest piece I’ve made so far, with the top and one leg both made from a single 50mm thick oak slab that was ethically sourced from Sussex and the other leg and shelves made from European oak.
We went back and forth between a more traditional cabinet design and this contemporary design, we took a more modern approach to tie the piece in with the rest of the space.
I chose an oil finish for the piece to highlight the warm tones in the oak slab.
As with every bespoke piece I make, the design process was key in a successful piece and a happy customer.
