About Me

I’m Josh, I’m a Bristol-based woodworker.
I started JC Woodworking as a creative outlet for myself; I wanted to develop my interest and skills in woodworking so that I could build great looking furniture and wooden accessories for myself, friends and family.
I primarily follow hand tool methods and techniques, while using reclaimed or ethically sourced timber, to produce pieces with a clean aesthetic that celebrate the natural beauty of the wood I’m using.
I believe that working wood by hand lends each product a unique personality.
Each piece will have unique tool marks and grain patterns, meaning no two things that leave my shop will be the same and everything you buy will be special.
Now that I’m a year in, I’m looking to expand and offer a wider range of services and products.
I’ve set up a commission service for made-to-measure furniture and I’ve got big plans for new products in the future.
So keep an eye on my Instagram for updates on my upcoming projects.

This is where the magic happens, my workshop, my small escape from the hustle of city life and my day job.
