Faceted Jewellery Box

This solid oak jewellery box was a challenging commission as I had to balance functional storage requirements against making a piece with visually interest.
I built the lid with a curved panel that I then carved into to create a faceted surface that is tactile and invites close interaction.
As with previous commission pieces I worked with my client to arrive at a design that suited both form and function with plenty of room for storage.
Completed and delivered August 2021.
