This was a brilliant commission for a built-in floating desk with matching floating shelves. I was very pleased that the client put their faith in me and allowed me to steer them towards using a beautiful piece of local olive ash for the desk and shelf edges. It has so much variety in the grain and its always best to use local timber wherever possible. I pre-fabricated everything then trimmed it to fit on site for a tight fit into the alcove.
