It’s made from solid European oak boards on a pine substructure through which it’s secured to the walls. This maximises strength, weight and material costs. The oak top is then finished with oil as this brings out the natural beauty of the timber.

For this desk I took measurements of the client’s space to ensure a perfect fit and extended the desk out out of the alcove and across to hug the chimney breast to make it look less blocky.
