Bespoke Wine Cabinet

This was a fantastic commission to make a medium sized cabinet with shelves for wine storage. This kind of request doesn’t come around too often so I took the opportunity to make something really special for this client. I used solid oak throughout, with local English oak for the door and top, and hand-cut joinery connecting everything. The joinery is visible in the close up pictures. It’s finished in a hard wax oil to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.

This has to fit into a very tight space so we consulted on the design to maximise storage, while keeping the design from feeling cramped. I think all the effort and time was worthwhile as my client is just as happy as I am with this piece.
